Price tiers and credit charging

When you request one of our cloud products, the API key you use will be charged for the process or processes being run. The credit prices per product are fixed, so it’s easy to calculate the number of credits that are required to run a certain number of records, or to see how many records you could run with a given number of credits.
Product types and tiers
Every core and add-on product has a fixed credit price apart from verifylocation, which instead splits into two price bands determined by the country of the address being requested.
We provide two core products, which can be enhanced with one or more optional, add-on products. So you first call a core product, and use parameters to add the supplementary processes.
The add-on product pricing is always in addition to the price of the core product in use. So a capturelocation request would consume 8.75 credits, and if you wanted to add +geocodelocation to the result (an additional 3.00 credits), the total price of the request would be 11.75 credits (8.75 + 3.00).
Below are some more examples of how to price our address products.
- verifylocation (Germany) = 10 credits +geocodelocation = 3 credits; 10+3 = 13 credits total
- capturelocation (UK) = 8.75 credits total
- verifylocation (Australia) = 10 credits +certifylocation = 5 credits; 10+5 = 15 credits total
- verifylocation (USA) = 2.5 credits +geocodelocation = 3 credits +certifylocation = 5 credits; 2.5+3+5 = 10.5 credits total
Price tiers for address verification
Our verifylocation product charges based on the country of the address being processed. Tier 1 (2.50 credits) includes processing for address data in Canada, United Kingdom, and United States. Tier 2 (10 credits) represents all other countries.
We’ve separated the US, UK, and Canada into a lower price group to provide better value when using our more popular datasets.
How many credits?
Our pricing page interactively displays the number of records that you can process with a given product (or tier) for each credit pack. However, this doesn’t mean you have to use all your credit balance with one product or product tier. We’ll soon be adding the ability to perform a reverse calculation that will enable you to estimate the number of credits, and which credit pack you’ll need by entering the number of records under each product.
